R.E.D. Dementia Radio

In 2nd year of university, we were challenged to create an emerging technology for a current issue. I chose to create a Alexa type dementia radio, that is controlled by an app, by the families to bring them together when they cannot be together. The speaker has a projector to project photo memories  and videos, as well as games onto the wall to increase stimulus. The printed media is a retro design, and targets the families of these family members with dementia as well as the patient themselves. With a social media campaign and competition to show how family members are finding creative ways to connect to their elderly family during COVID19 lockdown, winner receiving a new RED radio. 

​We have also created an event which is a retro dinner and dance, raising money and awareness for the cause.
